Mori ("Mori," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-powered relationship-memory service for service professionals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Mori website at heymori.ai and the Mori service (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are and what Mori does
Mori is a memory layer for your professional relationships. You forward emails about your vendors and clients to Mori (or copy Mori on threads or send a text message), and Mori extracts the contacts and context into a private, per-account knowledge base so you can recall the right person and details later. Mori is designed to work alongside your existing tools — it is not a CRM and does not send messages on your behalf.
2. Information we collect
Account and contact information. When you sign up or complete onboarding, we collect information such as your name, email address, and phone number.
Content you send us. We receive and process the content you choose to send to the Service, including:
- Emails you forward to Mori and email threads on which you copy Mori;
- Text messages (SMS) you send to Mori, and images you send by MMS (such as photos of business cards); and
- Any notes, contacts, or other content you submit.
Mori automatically analyzes this content to extract contacts, relationships, and context on your behalf.
Newsletter information. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you submit.
Usage and device information. When you visit our website, we and our analytics providers automatically collect certain information, such as your device and browser type, pages viewed, and general interaction data. See Cookies and analytics below.
3. Information about other people
Because Mori works by processing the emails and messages you send it, the content you provide will often contain personal information about other people — such as your vendors, clients, and other contacts.
You are responsible for the content you send to Mori. By submitting it, you direct us to process that information, and you represent that you have the right to share it with us and to have us process it on your behalf. We handle this information as a service provider acting on your behalf and solely to provide the Service to you.
If an individual whose information appears in your account wishes to access, correct, or delete that information, they should contact you as the account holder. They may also contact us at hi@heymori.ai, and we will route the request to the relevant account holder.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- Extract, organize, and retrieve contacts and context for you;
- Generate draft replies and suggestions for your review;
- Communicate with you about the Service, including service-related notices and, where permitted, product updates;
- Monitor, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. AI processing
Mori uses third-party artificial-intelligence providers to analyze the content you send, extract contacts and context, and generate draft suggestions. When we send content to these providers, we do not permit them to use your content to train their AI models.
AI-generated output is provided for your review and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Mori does not send messages or take actions on your behalf without your involvement — drafts and suggestions are always yours to review, edit, and approve.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share, combine, or aggregate your data across accounts. Your data is yours.
We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting and infrastructure, database storage, email delivery, AI/ML processing, payment processing, and analytics providers (for example, Vercel, Supabase, Postmark, Anthropic, Voyage AI, Stripe, Google Analytics, and Hotjar). These providers may process information only on our behalf and under obligations of confidentiality.
- Legal and safety purposes — when we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mori, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.
7. Communications
We may send you service-related messages (for example, account, security, and transactional notices), which are part of the Service. If you subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise opt in, we may send you product updates and marketing messages. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in those messages or by contacting us at hi@heymori.ai. We may still send you non-marketing, service-related messages.
8. Data retention and deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at hi@heymori.ai.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including per-account isolation so that each account's data is kept private to that account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Residents of California have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (note that we do not sell your personal information), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hi@heymori.ai. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
11. Cookies and analytics
We use cookieless analytics (such as Vercel Web Analytics) and, in production, cookie-based analytics (such as Google Analytics and Hotjar) to understand how the website is used and to improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking cookies may affect some features. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals at this time.
12. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International users
The Service is intended for users in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States. The Service is not directed to individuals in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
15. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, contact us at hi@heymori.ai. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.
